- Google Cloud consolecreate a project, thenYouTube Data API v3enable this API.
- Google Auth Platformregister VIDEOudit as the app name, your support email and external users. Add each connecting Google email as a test user during testing.
- Under Data access, add
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.force-sslas a scope. This permission is needed to download captions. - Clientscreate a web application and register the address below as an authorized redirect URI.
- Download the OAuth client JSON and register it below. Never publish or send files containing secrets in chat.
Public access may require Google verification, and test connections may need reauthorization. Use Chrome or Safari if approval cannot open in the in-app browser.
Registering the settings again disconnects existing channels.
